Biography
Martin Aeschlimann received the Dipl. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland, in 1985 and 1989, respectively.
He joined the faculty of the University of Essen, Essen, Germany, as an Associate Professor in 1998, and the University of Kaiserslautern, Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 2000, where he is currently a Full Professor. His current research interests include ultrafast phenomena at surfaces, fs-magnetism, and ultrafast nano-optics.
