Biography

Yasutaka Amagai (Member, IEEE) was born in Ibaraki, Japan, in 1980. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan, in 2003, 2005, and 2014, respectively.
From 2005 to 2009, he was employed as a Development Engineer with the Research and Development Division, TDK, Tokyo. He has been engaged in research on the ac–dc transfer standard since joining the National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (ASIT), Tsukuba, Japan, in 2009. His current research interests are in ac–dc current transfer standard, ac-programmable Josephson voltage standard, and their applications to the thermophysical measurements.
