Biography
Dino Isa Amshah received the B.S.(Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1986, and Ph.D. degree from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, U.K., in 1991.
From 1986 to 1988, he was a Process Engineer with Motorola Semiconductors, Malaysia. In 1988, he was a Lecturer with the University Kebangsaan, Malaysia (UKM). In 19991, he returned to Motorola, where he was Engineering Section Head for the power products division (from 1994 to 1996). In 1996, he joined the Crystal Clear Technology (CCT), as a Plant Manager. In 1999, he was the Director of Operations, CCT, Westlake Village California. His last position with CCT was Chief Technology Officer, Malaysia. In 2001, he joined the University of Nottingham (Malaysia Campus), Selangor, Malaysia, as an Assistant Professor. Since 2003, he has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research interests are in signal processing and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques with applications to various areas including remote sensing/monitoring systems, semiconductor manufacturing industry and wireless communications, among others.
