Biography

Mohd Nasir Tamin received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI.
He is currently a Professor of mechanical engineering and applied mechanics with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor, Malaysia. He heads the Computational Solid Mechanics Research Laboratory, UTM. His current research interests include computational modeling of solder joint reliability, mechanics of laminated composites, and development of constitutive models for engineering alloys.
