Biography

Salvatore Alfonzetti (M'80) was born in Catania, Italy, in 1952. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Catania, Catania.
Currently, he is a Full Professor of electrical engineering with the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering (DIEEI), University of Catania. He is the author of about 200 papers. His research work concerns the finite-element method analysis of electromagnetic systems.
Mr. Alfonzetti is a founding member of the International Compumag Society.
