Biography

Antonino Albanese is currently the Research and Innovation Manager of Italtel S.p.A., Milan, Italy. He has a long experience in the design, development and testing of telecommunication products related to fixed, mobile, multiservice networks (voice/data/video), distributed on cloud, and virtualized infrastructures. He has management expertise in European collaborative research and innovation projects, being actively involved in projects related to several ICT areas, including telecommunications, cloud, network function virtualization, service defined networking, the IoT, edge computing, AI, and cybersecurity. His main research interests include high performance computing and HW acceleration technologies that can provide a performance boost in data processing at the edge cloud, improve energy, and cost efficiency.
