Biography

Leandro B. Becker (M'03) was born in Alegrete, Brazil, in 1976. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2003. His Ph.D. dissertation was on a real-time systems design methodology.
In 2001, he conducted research with the Real-Time Systems and Communication Group (EuK) of the University of Magdeburg, Magdeburg, Germany. Since 2004, he has been an Associated Professor with the Department of Automation and Systems Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, Brazil. His current research interests include software engineering for real-time and embedded systems, real-time central-processing-unit/message scheduling, and wireless communications in mobile systems.
