Biography
Rashid Al-Abri (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, in 2002, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Curtin University of Technology, WA, Australia, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2012. He is currently the Director of the Sustainable Energy Research Center (SERC) and an Assistant Professor with the ECE Department, Sultan Qaboos University. His research interests include power electronics applications, renewable energy, power quality, energy efficiency, power systems, and smart grid applications, as well as power systems stability.
