Biography
Arshad Ali graduated in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA.
He has over 90 publications to his credit in national and international conferences and refereed journals.
Dr. Ali was awarded the Gold Medal by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences and COMSTECH for IT research; the Presidents' Gold medal for the Best Researcher of the year 2005; the “Distinguished Scientists of the Year 2006” award by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences; and the Academy awards gold medals and prizes in 14 fields of Science and Technology to Pakistani scientists who pursue and produce original research work. A scientist can receive the award only once in his/her lifetime. So far, over 100 Pakistani scientists have been given these awards.
