Biography

Márcio Matias Afonso Graduate in Industrial Electrical Engineering at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (1999) and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Ecole Centrale de Lyon - France (2003). He is currently professor of CEFET - MG and acts on the Masters Program in Computational and Mathematical Modeling. Works with Computational Electromagnetism, developing research on numerical methods computational applied to solving engineering problems. He uses, among others, the finite element method, integral equations of boundary and hybrid method. He employs techniques for developing object-oriented software.
