Biography

Denız Demırcı received the B.S. degree in system engineering from the Turkish Military Academy, Ankara, Turkey, as a Lieutenant, in 2007, and the M.Sc. degree in cyber security from the Informatics Institute, Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey, in 2021. He worked as a Platoon Leader and a Team Commander, from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he worked as a Software Developer. Since 2016, he has been responsible for performing and managing penetration tests, malware analysis, security incident detection, and response, as a Technical Lead with the Cyber Security Center of Turkish, Gendarmerie General Command. His research interests include software security, image processing, natural language processing, malware analysis, reverse engineering, and machine learning.
