Biography
Aslihan Aktepe (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics engineering from Gebze Technical University (GTU), Gebze/Kocaeli, Turkey, in 2017 and 2021, respectively, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques Division, Department of Electronics Engineering.
Since 2020, she has been a Research and Teaching Assistant with the Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Techniques Division, Department of Electronics Engineering, GTU. Her main research interests include computational electromagnetics, especially, high-frequency techniques and integral equation solvers in the time and frequency domains.
Ms. Aktepe received the Leopold B. Felsen Excellence in Electromagnetics Award in 2023, the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship Award in 2022, and the URSI Young Scientist Award in 2020 URSI GASS. She was also the winner of the GTU Best M.Sc. Thesis of the Year Award in 2022 and the URSI - Felsen Best Student Paper Award in 2021 URSI - Turkish Scientific Congress.
