Biography
Paul EvansProfessor Paul Evans is Head of The Imaging Science group at NTU. He has led significant advances in 3D X-ray imaging for the detection and identification of weapons and explosives. His research has produced significant patents together with the scientific and technological basis for commercially available security X-ray imaging systems. He is currently funded by the Innovative Research Call in Explosives and Weapons Detection, a cross-government programme sponsored by a number of UK government departments and agencies under the CONTEST strategy, the UK EPSRC and the US DHS.
