Biography

Akebo Yamakami received the B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Campinas, Brazil, in 1977 and 1985, respectively.
Currently, he is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Universidade Estadual de Campinas. His current research interests include fuzzy systems, fuzzy mathematical programming, operational research, and computational intelligence.
