Biography
Antonio J. G. Abelem (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), in 2003. He is currently a Full Professor with the Computer Science Faculty, University of Pará (UFPA), Belém, Pará. He is also an Associate Member and a member of the Board of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). He coordinates the Research Laboratory in Computer Network and Multimedia Communication (GERCOM) from which participates and coordinates several national and international projects. In 2020, he was a Visiting Professor with the University of Massachusetts (UMass), Amherst, MA, USA, where he carried out research on quantum networks. His research interest includes networking.
