Biography
Jonathan Nelson received the Ph.D. degree in geography from the Pennsylvania State University. He is a past trainee at the NSF Big Data Social Science IGERT. He is currently a Geographic Information Systems Professional with the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s Asset Management Bureau. His research interests include cartography, GIScience, human–computer/data interaction, and visual analytics. His work emphasizes the role of visualization in making data more accessible, usable, and useful.
