Biography
Rui Castro received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), Lisbon, Portugal, in 1994.
Currently, he is with IST, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Power Systems Section. He is also a Senior Researcher at INESC-ID. His main research interests are in the areas of power systems transients and control, renewable energy, and energy pricing.
