This second edition of A Practitioner's Guide to Leadership begins with the immutable foundations of leadership development from the original 2008 first edition. It includes a slightly expanded treatment of leadership theories; and retains the original principles of leadership, leadership traits and the discussion of the difference between leaders and managers. This edition is an expanding compilation of insights from numerous scholarly references, as well as the author's personal leadership experiences. Like the first edition, this book is not intended to be exhaustive in its coverage, but instead to provide a starting point for those interested in becoming more effective leaders -- by stimulating thought, motivating practice, and inspiring reflection.
