Conducted EMI in a High Power Railway PWM Linear Induction Motor Drive: Theoretical and Experimental Investigation

This paper deals with the evaluation of conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) produced by power converters in very large size drives, in order to get a good understanding of conducted emissions behaviour of the system. For achieving this purpose the application of a new suitable measurement technique is proposed. The case of a 140 kW linear induction motor drive used for the propulsion of a railway vehicle, called People Mover System (PMS), has been studied.
