Electromagnetic Compatibility of Systems for Train Movement Control on Electrified Railways
The aim and purpose of the experimental research in the rail tracks disturbances caused by the traction current was to determine the steady, time and place independent statistical properties for the interfering signals and to develop an adequate way to describe them analytically. The research method included standard identical measurements carried out on sections of railways with various kinds of traction, traffic intensity and electrical rolling stock (ERS); with the power supply systems running in typical operation mode, in various regions of Russia in all seasons in order to make the proper and justified conclusions concerning uniformity of the statistic properties for the interfering signals. To get the upper bounds of the statistical parameters for disturbances, the measurements were carried out in the rail tracks adjacent to the substation ranges. Before every recording session the asymmetry ratio Ka and insulation resistance of the rail tracks were measured. The recording of the disturbances was done on the impedance equivalent of the receiver apparatus of the track circuit and meter shunt, incorporated into the electrical open of the traction current circuit. The isolated interference voltage was fed into the inputs of the measuring channel of the magnetograph. The recording was done in the running mode of the rail track circuit when the trains were absent in the adjacent two or three approach sections with the rail circuit transmitting equipment shut off. The measurements were carried out in the rest periods. Session of recording usually lasted for 10-20 minutes.
