Experimental Characterization and Analysis of the IEC-61967-4 Test Setup

This paper deals with the evaluation of integrated circuits (ICs) electromagnetic emission. In particular, emissions from an IC output driver are analyzed from the point of view of total radiated power. Correlation between the driver output current and related radiated power is investigated. Moreover, signal degradation effects introduced by the test setup IEC 61967-4 are experimentally evaluated by exploiting an ad hoc calibration test board. The results shown in this paper allow one to directly relate the driver output current to the overall radiated power.
