Mechanism analysis and control measures of wind turbine generators tripping caused by HVDC contingencies
As long as the appearance and continual commission of the wind-thermal-bundled (WTB) high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system, in order to ensure security and stability, it is necessary to carry out further study on the reactive power/voltage interaction among wind turbine generators (WTG), thermal generators (TG) and HVDCs. Firstly, the mechanism and corresponding measures of WTG overvoltage tripping caused by HVDC blocking are analyzed. Then, the mechanism and corresponding measures of WTG overvoltage tripping caused by HVDC commutation failure are analyzed. Finally, the mutual restriction between WTG and HVDC and the support of the TG are discussed. The results are verified by the planning Northwest China WTB HVDC transmission case system.
