Smart grid operations and control challenge by implementing SSSC tailored to optimize performance in between United Arab Emirates and Oman on the GCC power grid
This research work is novel technique to control and optimize SSSC operations with degree of precision in between United Arab Emirates and Oman. The SSSC model developed and simulated in order to identify and determine its control and operating parameters by introducing new tuning parameters based on that the SSSC can be adjusted stringently to witness desired results lead to address outstanding reactive power management issue. The proposed new parameters are contributing significantly to control SSSC device operations in multiple directions in a power system network in between UAE and Oman at different time based transmission contingencies on the GCC power grid. Strategically, the SSSC control device capacity and capability can be utilized fully in between United Arab Emirates and Oman by introducing and optimizing its control and tuning parameters more tangibly under both steady and dynamic states.
